Rutherglen Constituency Liberal Democrats cover the Scottish Parliament seat of Rutherglen, and the Westminster seat of Rutherglen and Hamilton West. The Council wards form part of South Lanarkshire Council area.

The area has been continuously represented at various levels by Liberals or Liberal Democrats since 1977.
