Paul McGarry

Welcome to the webpage for Paul McGarry, our lead campaigner and candidate for Glasgow Anniesland. Paul is a familiar face to many of you having been the council candidate in the 2010 Drumchapel & Anniesland By-Election. Since then Paul has been working hard meeting as many constituents as he can and getting involved in his local community. Paul is an Anniesland resident and cares deeply about the issues affecting us in the Anniesland Constituency.

In recent months Paul has worked hard to ensure the Aircraft carriers are kept in Glasgow and spoke about the issue at a national conference shortly before they were saved. Paul has also taken on board many of the suggestions offered by yourselves and other residents and is always aprreciates your suggestions.

Dear Friend,

It has been only a few short months since our most recent campaigns for the Anniesland and Drumchapel by-election. What a difference we made and will continue to make. We demonstrated that we tired of not being listened to by those put in place to represent us. The Liberal Democrats saw our biggest ever share of the vote in Anniesland and Drumchapel and now we will continue this in the Scottish Parliament.

I understand many of you will have concerns about the way the media have portrayed the coalition, however I want to reassure every Liberal Democrat voter that your representatives are working hard for you! We are keeping the election promises and moving towards progressive taxation and fairness in our laws. We have delivered on many of these key election promises. We will see fairer taxes, a fairer start for our children, a greener, sustainable economy and fairer politics. If elected in Anniesland I will work tirelessly for you. I will listen to any issues you raise and I will ensure you have an effective voice in the constituency.

I look forward to meeting you all again as we continue to work hard in our community.

Many Thanks

Paul McGarry

Glasgow Anniesland and Glasgow Region candidate

Scottish Parliament.
