Glenmarnock Wheelers back in action

In our last FOCUS leaflet we broke the news that vandals had caused damage to the accommodation used by Glenmarnock Wheelers Cycling Club in King’s Park.
Extensive damage was caused but Glasgow City Council have now refurbished the building which is to be used as a community facility.
Councillor Margot Clark said: “I am delighted that Glenmarnnock Wheelers will be back in King’s Park. The group are an excellent local group who have encouraged many local people to take up cycling (including myself!) Some young talents have been identified and we are hoping that some will be entered into the Commonwealth Games.”
