Everyones a winner with the big lottery fund
Anniesland and Drumchapel Council Candidate Paul McGarry welcomed the news that two local organisations have been succesful in their bid for funding from the Big Lottery Fund.
Both Pineview Housing Association and Drumchapel Table Tennis were succesful in their bids for funding.
Anniesland and Drumchapel Candidate commented "This is terrific news for the local area and a massive congratulations must go to both groups. I am delighted that both groups are planning to extend their services in the community, partner with new projects and increase opportunities for residents."
"I reccomend the Awards for All Grants to all, they are open to all groups accross the community and can provide much needed assistance for new projects.
Pineview Housing Association will offer young people the opportunity to participate in the Duke of Edinburgh's Award scheme. The group will run the project in partnership with G15 Youth Project in Glasgow.
Drumchapel Table Tennis will set up a new weekly Disability Development Club.
Awards for All is the small grants scheme supported by three of the National Lottery good cause distributors in Scotland: Creative Scotland, the Big Lottery Fund and sportscotland. The scheme makes awards of between £500 and £10,000 to grass-roots community groups and voluntary organisations.
