New Free Community Bus Service for Drumchapel

Strathclyde Passenger Transport have announced the funding of a new bus service in Drumchapel. This service will be operated by Community Transport Glasgow and will be a lifeline for those that depended on the recently terminated #92 operated by First. 

The service will operate as a pilot for 12 months and will link Peel Glen Road, Pitmilly Road, Lochgoin Avenue, Dunkenny Road, Kinfauns Drive at Drumchapel Shopping Centre, Hallgreen Avenue and Antonine Road.

 Council Candidate Paul McGarry commented "This is terrific news for the community and is a much needed replacement for the lost #92 service.

"Many residents contacted me regarding this as this was an essential service. The new service will have a low platform to allow access for disabled as well as for parents with prams and buggies.

"This is a service we will need to keep fighting for and ensure that it remains beyond the 12 month pilot.
