Fireworks a success in Drumchapel

Glasgow City Council Candidate Paul McGarry has hailed the recent Drumchapel and West fireworks a tremendous succes for the local community. Thousands from all accross the Glasgow and Dumbartonshire flocked to Drumchapel to attend the annual fireworks.

Paul commented: "This event has been a tremendous succes and I look forward to many more to come."

Since its introduction Stratchlyde Fire and rescue has seen an 86% reduction in incidents relating to bonfires and fireworks.
