Brown welcomes the decision to opt in to the EU trafficking directive

Commenting on the news that UK Government has opted into the EU trafficking Directive, Liberal Democrat Justice spokesperson and long time campaigner on trafficking, Robert Brown MSP said:

“This is very good news which will sharpen the fight against human trafficking, not just in Scotland but across Europe.

“It is vital that we are able to seriously damage this horrendous trade and give succour and support to its victims.”
