Tackling the root causes of crime is more important than sound bites: Brown

Commenting on Kenny MacAskill’s conference promise to enshrine the rights of victims in law, Liberal Democrat Justice spokesperson Robert Brown MSP said:

“The best way to protect victims is to reduce the levels of crime and particularly the number of repeat offenders in Scotland.

“That means sensible policies that tackle the root causes of crime rather than the sound bites that we have become used to.”
