Edinburgh South Liberal Democrats AGM.

Private meeting on Wednesday, November 19th, 2008 at 7.30 pm. The annual general meeting of Edinburgh South Liberal Democrats will be held on 19th November. The meeting is due to start at 7.30 pm in Christ Church Hall, Holy Corner, Morningside Road.  Guest speaker will be Liam MacArthur MSP (MSP for Orkney and former member of the local party).

Liberton/Gilmerton Action Day.

Campaigning session on Saturday, November 22nd, 2008 at 10.00 am. Another big Action Saturday at our top target seat.  We will be meeting at the Constituency Office at 10am to deliver bundles across the constituency.  Please come along to help get the message out that the only way to defeat Labour in Edinburgh South is to vote Liberal Democrat.After a morning of delivery we will be returning to Grange Road at around 12:30pm for homemade soup to warm us up. 

Milngavie Canvass Session.

Campaigning session on Saturday, November 22nd, 2008 at 1.45 pm. Canvassing Session in Milngavie in support of Cllr Eric Gotts and Jo Swinson MP.Meeting at 1:45pm for a 2pm start. 18 Iddesleigh Ave via residents parking area on The Riggs. All welcome.

East Lothian Skittles Night.

Social event on Friday, December 5th, 2008 at 6.30 pm. Please join us for a game of skittles and a bar supper – and of course, some good company - on Friday 5th December, 6.30 p.m.at the Tranmare Hotel, Tranent. As ever, no experience required!Cost £3 per person to cover the cost of the skittle alley. Bar suppers and cash bar available. It helps to have numbers in advance, so please contact Jenny if you would like to come along.

Campaigning session on Saturday, December 6th, 2008 at 10.00 am. The final 2008 Action Saturday at our top target seat.  We will be meeting at the Constituency Office at 10am to deliver bundles across the constituency.  Please come along to help get the message out that the only way to defeat Labour in Edinburgh South is to vote Liberal Democrat.  Local Councillor Conor Snowden will be providing soup and mince pies to every deliverer after we have spent the morning out and about in Gilmerton and Moredun.

Conference on Saturday, January 17th, 2009 at 10.00 am. South of Scotland Lib Dems Annual Conference at the Town House, cnetral Haddington. Guest Speaker: Vince Cable. Flat fee registration of £15, please register in advance to assist in catering. Registration form available from Stuart Smith, Regional Party Secretary. More detials will be made available later.

Conference on Friday, March 13th, 2009-Saturday, March 14, 2009 at 4.00 pm. Scottish Liberal Democrats conference.  Speakers, debates, training and a fantastic exhibition.

Sat 21st Mar 2009:

The ubiquitous North Berwick Coffee Morning.

Social event on Saturday, March 21st, 2009 at 10.00 am. Details of the event are still to be confirmed but it will take place between 10 am and 12 noon with usual raffle drawn towards the end. Tea/coffee/sugar/fruit juice will all be Fairtrade products.

Sat 7th Nov 2009:

The Ubiquitous North Berwick Coffee Morning.

Social event on Saturday, November 7th, 2009 at 10.00 am. Details still to be confirmed but tea/coffee/sugar/fruit juice will all be Fairtrade ingredients and there will be the usual raffle towards the end of the event.
