Commenting on reports that the Yes Scotland campaign was not a cross-party effort but instead dominated by the SNP, Shetland MSP Tavish Scott said:
“The pretence that the nationalist campaign is a cross party effort has been well and truly shattered.
“Alex Salmond is trying to run the campaign to split Scotland from the rest of the UK like a tin-pot dictator.
“It is clear that ‘Yes Scotland’ is no more than an SNP front and that no other voices will be heard.
“That is not good news for the wide-ranging debate on Scotland’s future that we should have.”
