Joe is standing to be Linn's local councillor in Glasgow City's 2022 elections on the 5th of May.

Born and raised in a disadvantaged single-parent household in Glasgow Southside, Joe attended Holyrood Secondary School and completed his further education at Langside College. The Glasgow Linn Ward has always been close to Joe’s heart with strong family ties and history going back generations.

Over the past year Joe, who is an experienced and proud community activist has been busy knocking on doors, speaking to residents, working with community groups and fighting many important local issues that matter the most.

Joe is a passionate believer in community values. He is fighting for greater protection for community assets, local services, green space, transport links and better educational opportunities for everyone.

Family, belonging and community values are very important to Joe and he believes that they should be at the heart of every local decision-making process.

Joe's top priorities for Glasgow Linn are:

The SNP run Glasgow City Council has failed to deliver a
fair deal for the City from the Scottish Government.

Joe will fight hard to protect local services, community
assets and core council budgets.

Too many communities feel left behind, powerless and
without a voice.

Joe will ensure everyone has a fair say in local decision
making and better access to their elected representatives.

Joe will reach out to all in the community to help end
divisions and work hard to bring people together.

The local elections are a time to put local matters first
which matter most.

If elected, Joe will listen, focus on local important community matters and keep in touch all year round, not just at election time.
