Carole Ford for Pollokshields

Carole Ford is a native of Glasgow and has lived in Pollokshields for over 20 years.  She is a former secondary head teacher, has worked in professional regulation for several years, and with the University of Strathclyde.  Carole is the Scottish Liberal Democrat Policy Convener and the party spokesperson on Schools and Skills.

Glasgow needs a council which will respond to the real needs of its citizens: a clean city; a transport system which offers a safe, efficient service; an education system which delivers the quality of education every child deserves; a vibrant city centre which offers shopping, dining, cultural and leisure opportunities, in a safe, clean, attractive environment; roads which are not pitted with potholes; pavements which are clear of litter; and a health service which is reliable and easily accessible.

Carole has both the life experience and the professional experience to make the right decisions in the interests of the city, and ensure those decisions are implemented effectively and efficiently.  She will listen to people, individually and collectively, and will work to deliver for them.  Her wealth of experience, and her commitment to public service, is exactly what Pollokshields ward and Glasgow City Council need.
